Denmark native joining Rockets after earning NJCAA Division I PING All-District honors
TOLEDO, Ohio - Head Men's Golf Coach Jeff Roope announced on Monday that Mads Jensen (Tommerup, Denmark) is going to be transferring to the University of Toledo after playing last year at Ranger (Texas) College.

"We are very happy that Mads is joining our program this season," Roope said. "He's an extremely hard-working player who really thrives on high-level competition. His work ethic and passion will make an immediate impact in our practices and at tournaments."
Jensen earned NJCAA Division I PING All-South Central District honors at Ranger College after posting a 73.5 scoring average with eight rounds under par. His lowest round with the Rangers was a four-under par 68 at the Odessa Invitational and his low 54-hole score was a one-under par 213 (71-69-73).

As an amateur in Denmark, Jensen won the Danish Under-16 stroke-play championship in 2018 and finished second in the Lillebaelt Open in 2019 and 2021, the DJGA Spring Open in 2020 and the Kolding Junior Open in 2020. Jensen also holds the course record with a seven-under 65 at the Varde Golf Club in Denmark.
