Tyler Cochran has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for the first time after his standout performance in the Toledo men's basketball team's 88-87 home victory over Marshall last Wednesday.
Cochran exploded for a career-high 33 points and also tallied eight rebounds, five assists and four steals in the Rockets' 88-87 victory over Marshall. Cochran was extremely efficient shooting the ball as well, knocking down 13-of-16 shots (.813) from the field, 2-of-3 from three-point range and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.
Cochran ranks 20
th nationally with a MAC-best 2.5 spg. He ranks fourth on the team with 12.4 ppg and leads the Rockets with 6.0 rpg and an 85.2 FT%.
Cochran and the Rockets will host Vermont on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 7:00 p.m. before heading to Morgantown, W. Va. to face West Virginia on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 1:00 p.m.
