TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior Jacquez Stuart was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll following his performance in last Tuesday's 31-13 win vs. Buffalo, the Louisville Sports Commission announced today.

Stuart opened the game with a bang, returning the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to give the Rockets an early lead. The Miami, Fla. native scored his second TD of the game in the third quarter, a 12-yard rushing score following a Buffalo fumble. Stuart rushed for 40 yards and ended the game with a team-best 158 all-purpose yards.

It is the second time this season that Stuart has made the Hornung Award Honor Roll. He was also honored following his 198 all-purpose yard performance in Toledo's 35-33 win over Northern Illinois on Sept. 30.

Toledo's final home game of the 2023 season vs. Eastern Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 8 will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2. Tickets for the EMU game are available at UTRockets.com/FBTix or by calling or texting 419-530-GOLD (4653).

Paul Hornung Award
The Louisville Sports Commission successfully launched the Paul Hornung Award in 2010 to honor its namesake and native son, and to promote outstanding performances by versatile college football players who often go unnoticed. Each week during the regular season, a panel of college football experts selects players for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll based on performance.

Voting for the 2023 Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse is now open. A national selection committee comprised of 17 sports journalists and former NFL stars will vote on the Hornung Award winner, with a fan vote comprising the 18th vote. College football fans can vote once every 24 hours until Nov. 12 at midnight when the fan voting closes. Vote here.
