Dequan Finn Named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week

TOLEDO, Ohio - Junior quarterback Dequan Finn was named West Division Offensive Player of the Week by the Mid-American Conference for his performance in Toledo's 49-23 victory over Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night.

Finn was brilliant in leading Toledo (9-1, 6-0 MAC) to its ninth consecutive victory and clinching the Rockets' second straight MAC West Division title. He completed 23-of-27 passes for a season-high 407 yards and three touchdowns. He connected on his first six passes of the game and was 14-of-17 by halftime when Toledo took a 35-3 lead into the locker room.

This is the second time this season that Finn has been honored by the league. He was named Co-West Division Offensive Player of the Week following a strong game in Toledo's 30-28 loss to Illinois on Sept. 2. He completed 20-of-36 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns vs. the Illini, as well as running for 75 yards and one TD.

The Rockets' next game is on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Bowling Green in the annual Battle of I-75. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN2.
