Toledo Falls 4-1 to Kent State

The Rockets need a victory at Western Michigan on Thursday to qualify for MAC Tournament
TOLEDO, Ohio – In its final home contest of the season, the Toledo women's soccer team lost to Kent State, 4-1, at Paul Hotmer Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Rockets trailed 1-0 at halftime, but two goals by the Golden Flashes early in the second half put UT in a deep hole. Junior Olivia Dault responded with an unassisted goal to cut the lead to 3-1. KSU answered with its fourth score at the 70-minute mark and kept Toledo off the scoreboard the rest of the way.

The loss puts Toledo (7-8-2, 4-5-1 MAC) in seventh place in the Mid-American Conference standings with one game remaining in the regular season. The Rockets travel to first-place Western Michigan (11-3-3, 7-0-3 MAC) on Thursday needing a win, combined with a loss by sixth-place Buffalo to Kent State, to qualify for the MAC Tournament. The top six teams qualify for the league tourney, beginning with the quarterfinals on Sunday, Oct. 29.
