Rockets return to Toledo on Sunday to play their final regular season home game vs. Kent State

BUFFALO, NY – The Toledo women's soccer team could not find the back of the net against Buffalo on Thursday, falling 3-0 at UB Stadium.

Redshirt freshman Brielle Young stopped Buffalo's first eight shots on goal until Leah Wengender broke the scoreless tie in the 69th minute. Arianna Zumpano scored back-to-back goals in the 82nd and 83rd minutes to put the game out of reach. Buffalo had a stout backline, limiting Toledo to just five shots.

The loss puts Toledo (7-7-2, 4-3-2 MAC) in sixth place in the conference standings. The top six teams qualify for the Mid-American Conference Tournament, which begins on Sunday, Oct. 29.

  • 3' | Buffalo put the pressure on early, taking the first two shots of the game but Brielle Young made two diving saves to keep the Bulls off the scoreboard.
