Toledo Opendorse Marketplace
TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo Athletic Department announced today it has created the Toledo Rockets Marketplace. The Opendorse-powered marketplace will maximize Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) support for Rocket student-athletes.
Toledo is among the first programs nationwide to provide a single marketplace platform to send supporters to access student-athletes and offer NIL opportunities. The marketplace gives Rocket fans, brands and sponsors the ability to browse, book, pitch and pay any Rocket student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the student-athletes' needs.
"Our Toledo Rockets Marketplace will make the process on capitalizing on NIL opportunities easier for our student-athletes and those who want to connect with them," said Toledo Vice President and Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair. "We are proud to partner with Opendorse to create this opportunity that will keep the University of Toledo at the cutting edge with respect to NIL technology and opportunity."
"Starting today, any fan or brand can support their favorite Toledo student-athlete in a matter of seconds," said Opendorse senior director of collegiate partnerships Tim Pederson. "The Rockets are ready to win in year two of NIL, and I'm proud that Opendorse can provide the technology to get them there."
In addition to the marketplace, Toledo receives full access to Opendorse's all-in-one NIL platform, providing best-in-class compliance, content and education tools to student-athletes. The platform equips student-athletes with on-demand access to share photos and videos from games and practices, and access to state-of-the-art social media analytics.
