Andrea Grove-McDonough announced the cross country schedule for the upcoming 2022 season. The schedule features six meets between September and the MAC Championship Meet in late October, followed by the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship Meet on Nov. 11 and NCAA Championship Meet on Nov. 19.
The Rockets will run in three meets during the month of September, the first being a Mid-American Conference dual-meet vs. Ohio on Friday, Sept. 1 in Athens, Ohio. Toledo will then travel to Terre Haute, Ind. to race in the John McNichols Invite hosted by Indiana State (Sept. 17). The third race of the month will be at Oklahoma State's Cowboy Jamboree (Sept. 24) in Stillwater, Okla.
Toledo will open October at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational (Oct. 1), and then have one week off before heading over to Wisconsin's Nuttycomb Invite (Oct. 14) in Madison, Wis. The final regular season race will be at Wayne State's Warrior Challenge (Oct. 22) in New Boston, Mich.
Ohio is scheduled to host this year's 2022 Mid-American Conference Championships meet in Athens on Saturday, Oct. 29. The women's team will look to defend its 2021 title and the men's team will look to improve on its runner-up finish from the 2021 season.
The NCAA Great Lakes Regional is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11 in Terre Haute, Ind. Should either team qualify, they would advance to the NCAA Cross Country Championships  in Stillwater, Okla. on Saturday, Nov. 19.
