Faith Linga Earns USTFCCCA All-America Honorable Mention

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo sophomore Faith Linga received All-America honorable mention status for the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field season, announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Student-athletes earned First-Team All-America status by finishing among the top-8 of their events – including as a member of a relay – at the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships last week at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Second-Team All-America honors went to those student-athletes who finished between ninth-16th place, and honorable mention went to those student-athletes who finished 17th-24th in their respective events.

Linga captured 21st place finish in the 10,000m race at the NCAA National Championships on Thursday, June 9. She ran a 34:19.43 to beat her previous time of 34:27.92 in the 10K, which she ran at the NCAA East Regional in Bloomington, Ind. (May 25).
