TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team will play Miami on Wednesday, May 4 at Scott Park in a makeup contest between the two Mid-American Conference foes. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
The Rockets and RedHawks played three out of four games in their weekend series at the end of March, but the fourth game was postponed due to weather. The original makeup date was set for Tuesday, May 3, but the game was pushed back a day to avoid the rain. Toledo previously won two of the three games played against Miami, opening the series with an 8-7 extra-inning win and a 3-2 victory in the second game.
Wednesday's game will be televised locally on BCSN.
Toledo (25-17, 16-11 MAC) has won 10 straight games entering Wednesday's contest, its longest winning streak since winning 11 consecutive games in 2011. The Rockets sit in third place in the MAC standings, behind Ball State (29-14, 23-4 MAC) and Central Michigan (27-14, 21-5 MAC) and above Ohio (20-19, 12-12 MAC).
Following Wednesday's game, Toledo visits Bowling Green for a four-game series.

Last Time Out
Toledo took a break from conference play last weekend to host Austin Peay for a three-game series and captured a series sweep of the Governors.
The Rockets won the first game 5-3, the second game 7-4, and the final game by a score of 7-6.
On Friday, UT used a three-run bottom of the eighth to break a 2-2 tie and withstood a late Austin Peay rally to hold on and win. Saturday's game featured a five-run second inning with
Jeron Williams,
Scott Mackiewicz, and
John Servello driving in runs on three straight hits to give the Rockets an early lead they would not relinquish. In the series finale, Toledo held a 7-2 lead before the Govs scored four in the top of the seventh to make it a one-run game, but
Kyle Music and
Connor Brandon came in and shut down Austin Peay's bats to help the Rockets close out another win.
