Rockets Sit in Sixth Place After Two Rounds at MAC Championships

4/23/2022 6:11:00 PM

HOLLAND, Ohio – Toledo is in sixth place with a team score of 631 following Saturday's second round of the 2022 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,158-yard Stone Oak Country Club.

Kent State is at the top of the team leaderboard with a 14-over par 590, 13 strokes in front of second-place Northern Illinois. The Huskies' Jasmine Ly is leading all individuals at two-under par (69-73=142) and is one shot ahead of the Golden Flashes' Emily Price (70-73=143).

"We did a really good job yesterday of hanging in there, keeping our energy up and making smart decisions," Head Coach Jenny Coluccio said. "We let some things slide today and it showed in our results. We're close and seeing it in parts of our rounds. We just really need to fine-tune our details."

Sophomore Angel Hii is the Rockets' top individual and tied for 12th place with a 10-over par 154 (75-79). Freshman Yedam Lee is tied for 18th place at 156 (79-77) and carded Toledo's best round of the day with a five-over par 77.

Sophomore Macy Hanus improved on her Round One total by one stroke and is tied for 22nd place at 159 (80-79).

Rounding out the Rocket lineup are sophomore Kaitlyn Natividad (T-30th/82-81=163) and junior Amelia Lee (T-37th/81-84=165).
