ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Toledo Sophomore
Madison Giglio competed in the one-meter dive Monday afternoon in the opening day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Giglio finished 37th out of 57 divers with a score of 233.95 in the prelims/qualifiers round. The top 18 finishers advanced to the finals Monday night.
Zone C of the NCAA Diving Championships is allowed nine spots on the one-meter into the NCAA Championships in Atlanta (March 16-19). Any diver that qualifies for the NCAA Championships will be allowed to optionally enter any other event(s) at the championships, as long as that diver finished in the top-12 at the same zone meet and has scored the zone qualifying score for that event prior to the NCAA Championships.
Giglio will compete in the women's three-meter event tomorrow. Prelims begin at 9:00 a.m. and finals are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
