TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team wraps up the regular season on Saturday at home against Western Michigan. The Rockets (24-4, 18-1 MAC) and Broncos (16-12, 10-9 MAC) will tip off at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
Toledo has already clinched the MAC regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed at the Mid-American Conference Women's Basketball Tournament in Cleveland next week.
Saturday's game will be UT's annual "Rockets for the Cure" game. Toledo is offering FREE admission to all Breast Cancer Survivors and those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Fans can also purchase pink Rockets for the Cure t-shirts for $12, with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen and Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center. The Rockets will be wearing pink jerseys against the Broncos, and those jerseys will be available to purchase via online auction following the game. All proceeds from the live online auction will benefit Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio and the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center. The online auction is currently live and includes the special pink jersey the Rocket players will be wearing during the game and a variety of other items.
On Wednesday against Northern Illinois, the Rockets used a 20-0 run at the end of the first half cruise to a 74-56 win over the Huskies. It was the team's 10th win in a row, the longest winning streak since the 2012-13 season.
Nationally, Toledo sits at No. 64 in the latest NET Rankings and has received votes in each of the last three AP polls, including a high of 15 votes this week. The Rockets also rank No. 11 in the latest CollegeInsider Mid-Major Top 25 poll, one of two MAC teams to appear in the rankings (Buffalo, No. 20).
Following Saturday's action, the MAC Tournament field will be set. As the No. 1 seed, Toledo will play the No. 8 seed in the first game of the tournament on Wednesday, March 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. Semifinal games are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 11 and the MAC Championship Game will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m.

Tricia Cullop recorded her 400th career victory on Saturday, Jan. 8 in the Rockets' 76-67 win at Western Michigan.
The Rockets led for much of the game, only trailing after the Broncos wrestled away control near the midway point of the third quarter. Toledo's deficit didn't last long, as a quick 7-0 UT run put them ahead for good.
Sophia Wiard led the way offensively, scoring a season-high 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting while contributing seven rebounds and six assists.
Jayda Jansen added 12 points, her most as a Rocket, and she was 3-for-4 from long range as well.
Khera Goss contributed 11 points and four rebounds to help the cause.
As a team, Toledo outrebounded Western Michigan 41-28. UT had an advantage shooting the ball as well, making 46.9 percent of its shots (23-for-49) compared to WMU's 36.4 field goal percentage (24-for-66). The Rockets shot well from beyond the arc, making 10-of-20 three-point shots.
The Broncos were led by sophomore guard Lauren Ross, who scored 22 points on 8-of-20 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.

- The Rockets lead the all-time series with WMU, 62-33. Their 62 wins against the Broncos are their most all-time against a single opponent.
- Toledo is now 18-1 in MAC play, which is a program record for conference wins in a season. The previous record was 16 by the 1996-97 team (16-2). It also ties the MAC record for most conference wins in a single season, matching the league win totals by the 1983-84 Central Michigan team and the 1997-98 Kent State squad.
- For the third straight week, the Rockets received votes in the AP poll. After receiving a combined five votes the previous two weeks, UT received 15 votes this week. That is the fourth-highest total of non-ranked teams, effectively ranking Toledo No. 29 in the country.
- Toledo has won 10 straight games, its second winning streak of at least eight games this season. Only the 2012-13 and 1996-97 teams have won at least eight games in a row twice in the same season. There are only 11 other teams in the nation with an active winning streak of at least 10 games.
- Last Saturday's win clinched Toledo's first MAC regular season title since 2012-13 and the 10th in program history (1990-91, 1991-92, 1994-95, 1996-97, 1998-99, 2000-01, 2002-03, 2010-11, 2012-13).
- The Rockets have beaten every other school in the MAC at least once this season, the first time they have done that since 2012-13
- Toledo has clinched the No. 1 seed in the MAC Tournament. The last time UT was the top seed in the conference tournament was the 2012-13 season. That season the No. 1 seed received a bye into the semifinals; Toledo lost to eventual MAC Tournament Champion No. 4 Central Michigan in the semis.
- The Rockets are 12-2 in road games this season and their 12 road victories are tied with Northern Kentucky (12-3) for most road wins in the country this season.
- Toledo has won 10 straight road games, which is the third-longest active road winning streak in the country behind Florida Gulf Coast (30 straight road wins) and Drexel (11 straight road wins).
- Only two teams in the country have at least 11 wins at home and 11 on the road: Toledo and Stony Brook.
- Over their last three games, Toledo is averaging 75.0 PPG, allowing 53.0 PPG, and shooting 47.3% from the floor.
- Toledo has had an exceptionally strong defensive season to this point. UT leads the MAC in scoring defense (59.75), field goal percentage defense (36.5%), and three-point field goal percentage defense (28.9%). They are the only team allowing fewer than 60 points per game.

- The Rockets are the top free throw shooting team in the conference (74.8 percent) and boast the second-best free throw shooter as well (Sophia Wiard, 85.2 percent). As it stands, Wiard is the most accurate free throw shooter in program history (83.8%)
- Offensively, the Rockets have cracked 70 points in 10 of the last 12 games. UT reached the 70-point benchmark five times in the first 12 games of the season.
- Toledo leads the MAC in rebounding during conference play, averaging 42.1 RPG in 19 games.
- Sophia Wiard leads the MAC and ranks 17th in the country in assist/turnover ratio (2.52). She led the MAC in that category last season as well.
- Quinesha Lockett sits 8th in the MAC in scoring (17.7 PPG). She's scored in double figures in 26 of 28 games this season and has cracked 20 points 13 times. She is one of five players in the MAC to have at least 13 20-point performances.
About Western Michigan
Western Michigan clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament with its 68-52 win over Eastern Michigan on Wednesday. The Broncos have won two straight games after losing their previous three. WMU ranks near the bottom of the league in scoring offense (65.75) but is one of the top defensive teams in the league, sitting third in scoring defense (62.68). Sophomore guard Lauren Ross is one of the top scorers in the league, averaging 18.2 PPG while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor.
