TOLEDO, Ohio – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final fall Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point of the top-125 singles players and top-60 doubles teams at the conclusion of the fall tennis season. Junior
Pawit Sornlaksup cracked the list at No. 124 in men's singles players.
"Pawit had a great summer of tennis and this fall has been a bit challenging," head coach
Al Wermer said. "Overall, he responded extremely well to the gauntlet of national competitions, especially including Milwaukee Classic, All-Americans in Tulsa, and our ITA Regionals. He'll be targeted at every dual match in spring term, but as fast as he continues to improve, I'm very confident he can keep rising."
Sornlaksup compiled a 14-8 record this fall in singles and doubles competition. He went 1-2 at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic (Sept. 16), advanced to the Round of 64 Singles at the ITA All-American Championships (Oct. 4), advanced to the Round of 16 Singles at the ITA Midwest Regionals (Oct. 23), and won the Flight 1 Singles bracket at the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Indoor tournament (Nov. 6).
