TOLEDO, Ohio – Redshirt freshman quarterback Tucker Gleason was named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore safety Maxen Hook was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week following their performances in Saturday's win at Eastern Michigan.

Gleason got his first collegiate start at quarterback in Toledo's 27-24 win over EMU. He replaced sophomore Dequan Finn, who sat out the game with an injury. Gleason connected on 15-of-27 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 33 yards on seven carries, including a 21-yard run on 3rd-and-12. The Tampa, Fla. native engineered a game-winning 12-play drive in the fourth quarter to help lead the Rockets to victory.

Hook tied a career-high with 13 tackles and nabbed the first interception of his career, a game-clincher late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's win. It was Hook's second straight game with at least 10 tackles and his third overall this season.

This marks the first MAC Player of the Week award for both Gleason and Hook.
