Bailey Flint and junior linebacker
Dyontae Johnson were both honored by the Mid-American Conference for their performances in Toledo's 32-29 loss at then No. 7/8 Notre Dame on Sept. 11.
Flint was named MAC West Division Special Teams Player of the Week. Flint averaged 45.4 yards on seven punts, including boots of 68 and 57 yards in the first half. His 68-yarder went out at the nine-yard line. He also pinned the Irish at their own four-yard line with a 35-yard kick in the second quarter.
Johnson was named MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week. He led the Rockets with a career-tying 10 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. He was also credited with one quarterback hurry.
The Rockets host Colorado State this Saturday (4:00 p.m./ESPNU).
