TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo women's track and field team had 15 student-athletes named to the 2021 Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC team, the conference announced today.

Junior
Allison Vogl led the team with a 3.988 GPA, followed closely by
Madeline Vining (3.970),
Emily Vining (3.968),
Yana Khabina (3.945) and
Stephanie Sherman (3.935). Among the 15 honorees, Sherman earned second-team All-America in the 10,000m, while
Petronela Simiuc (3.720) won titles in the 800m and 1500m at the MAC Championship Meet.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at at least 50 percent of the team's contests. Freshmen and first-year junior college transfers are not eligible.
