TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's golf team tied for first nationally with seven individuals qualifying for a spot on the 2020-21 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.

Sophomores Amelia Lee (Hilliard, Ohio), Kathryn Roth (Waterville, Ohio) and Claudia Sampson (Port Clinton, Ohio) were joined by freshmen Macy Hanus (Bowling Green, Ohio), Angel Hii (Kuching, Malaysia), Cheryl Hong (Kuantan, Malaysia) and Kait Natividad (Yorkville, Ill.) on the squad. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of their college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

"I am beyond proud of our players for continuing to embrace our culture and the importance of academics in their athletic careers," Head Coach Jenny Coluccio said. "This shows the standard they hold themselves as well as our culture to here at Toledo. Striving to show up, doing the work and being their best each day… I'm one proud coach."
