TOLEDO, Ohio --- The Toledo men's basketball team is one of eight schools participating in the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship on Nov. 22-24 in Nassau, event organizer bdGSports announced on Wednesday.

The Rockets will open the three-day tournament against Charlotte on Monday, Nov. 22 at Noon ET and face either Drexel or Tulane on Tuesday, Nov. 23. On the other side of the bracket are 2021 NCAA Tournament participant Abilene Christian, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville State, and Valparaiso.Â
Toledo captured the MAC title last year, posting an overall record of 21-9 with a 15-4 mark in league play. The Rockets earned their 10
th all-time NIT berth and were led by MAC Player of the Year
Marreon Jackson, MAC Freshman of the Year
Ryan Rollins, and Second-Team All-MAC honoree
Spencer Littleson. In addition to Rollins (13.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg), the Rockets also return juniors Setric Millner Jr. (12.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg),
JT Shumate (11.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg) and
Keshaun Saunders (6.8 ppg). Six freshmen will join the team next season, along with Boise State transfer
RayJ Dennis (8.6 ppg, 2.9 apg).
