Petronela Simiuc Heads to California for West Coast Relays

TOLEDO, Ohio - Senior Petronela Simiuc will be competing in the 1500m at the West Coast Relays in Clovis, Calif. on Friday, April 30 at 8:40 P.M. PDT / 11:40 P.M. EST. The meet is hosted by Fresno State and will take place at nearby Veterans Memorial Stadium.Â

Simiuc currently ranks first in the Mid-American Conference 1500m with a time of 4:17.44 at the Drake Relays. That time ranks 46th nationally so she is looking to improve upon her time this weekend in order to qualify for the NCAA East Preliminaries on May 27-29 in Jacksonville, Fla.Â
