Conrad and Lovell Post Top Five Finishes at MAC Championships

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The University of Toledo women's swimming and diving team wrapped up day two at the MAC Championships on Friday, with two Rockets posting top five finishes in individual events.

"We had some extremely strong standout performances tonight," head coach Brie Globig said. "We still have a lot of opportunities tomorrow to be great. I'm looking forward to seeing the team finish up the 2020-2021 season strong."

Freshman Sydney Conrad qualified for the A finals in the 100 butterfly and posted a fourth-place finish in the evening session, touching the wall at 54.27. Sophomore Kennedy Lovell finished in fifth place in the A finals of the 200 freestyle, recording a personal-best mark of 1:48.70.

Three other Rockets advanced to the evening session on Friday. Senior Lisa Eriksson joined Lovell by advancing in the 200 freestyle, finishing with a personal-best time of 1:51.65 in the B finals of that event. Sophomore Lauren Kilgore posted a personal-best time of 1:03.11 to lead all swimmers in the B finals of the 100 breaststroke. On the diving boards, junior Joelle Gallais competed in the consolation final on three-meter, tallying a score of 237.70.

The final day of the MAC Championships will begin on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with prelims and conclude with a finals heats at 6:10 p.m.
