LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Toledo posted its best round of the tournament with a five-over par 293 on Tuesday en route to an eighth-place finish at the Mid-American Challenge. Freshman
Angel Hii led the way for the Rockets in their first tourney of the season at the par-72, 6,068-yard Royal Lakes Golf Course.

Hii followed up a pair of 74's in the first two rounds with a one-under par 71 to tie for 12
th place at three-over par 219 in her first collegiate tournament.

Macy Hanus carded Toledo's second-best round of the day with an even-par 72 to finish in a 37
th-place tie at 12-over par 228 (79-77-72). Sophomore
Amelia Lee tied for 18
th place at five-over par 221 (76-71-74) after shooting two-over par today.

Kait Natividad (T-57
th/79-82-76=237) and
Cheryl Hong (T-57
th/83-78-76=237) also registered their best round of the tournament with four-over par 76s.

Northern Illinois captured the team title at four-under par 860, while Florida Gulf Coast's Sarah Edwards earned medalist honors with an impressive 12-under par 204.

Toledo will return to action on Monday-Tuesday, March 15-16 with a trip to Dade City, Fla. for Western Kentucky's Spring Break Shootout.
