TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior Quinesha Lockett has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Lockett helped Toledo go 2-0 this past week, securing wins over St. Francis (Pa.) and Loyola (Md.) at home. Lockett scored 15 points, pulled down six rebounds, dished out four assists, and collected three steals in the win over the Red Flash on Wednesday, helping the Rockets post a 53-point victory. Against the Greyhounds on Saturday, Lockett scored a season-high 30 points, scoring 24 in the second half to help lead Toledo to the win. She was extraordinary in the second half, making 7-of-8 shots from the floor, including all four of her three-point field goals and all six of her free-throw attempts in the final 20 minutes.

One of the best scorers in the country, Lockett ranks eighth nationally in points per game (21.7) and has scored at least 20 points in five of Toledo's seven games this season. She also ranks second in the conference in three-point field goals per game (3.3).

The Rockets will close out their non-conference schedule early next week, visiting SIU-Edwardsville on Sunday, Dec. 19 and Missouri State on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
