TOLEDO, Ohio - Less than two weeks ago, the Toledo men's cross country team came in second place at the Mid-American Conference Championship, the best finish in its 42-year history as a program. Now the Rockets will try to do the same at the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals in Evansville, Ind. on Friday, Nov. 12 (12:00 noon CT).
At the MAC meet on Oct. 30, juniorÂ

th/25:30.8) rounded out Toledo's scoring. The Rockets had 67 team points, trailing only host Eastern Michigan's total of 30.
Toledo's best finish ever at the NCAA Regionals was 15th place in 2011.Â
"Our men are coming off some momentum from the MAC Championships and we are looking forward to regionals this weekend,"Â said Head Coach
Andrea Grove-McDonough, "Our plan is to execute the race like we have talked about from the beginning of the season, and that is to do what we are capable of. We train for the 10k race, and we embrace the challenge of the longer race distance."
 A total of 30 schools will be competing at the Great Lakes Regional, with the top two teams earning automatic bids to the NCAA Championship Meet in Tallahassee, Fla. on Nov. 20. An additional 13 schools will be selected from the nine regions as at-large teams. The top four individuals at each region not on an advancing team will also qualify for nationals, as will two additional at-large selections.
