Six Rockets Score in Double Figures in 84-66 Win at BG

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Six Rockets scored in double figures for the second time this season to propel Toledo to its fourth straight win, a convincing 84-66 victory over arch-rival Bowling Green (10-7, 6-5 MAC) in the Stroh Center. The Rockets are now 15-4 overall and 10-1 in Mid-American Conference play.

"This was a good win against a really good team," Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk said. "It was a high-emotion game both ways. We came out of the gates strong and held them scoreless through the first media timeout. Then we went through a little offensive lull where I thought we took some good shots but they didn't fall. I was really proud of how Marreon Jackson found guys for open threes in the second half that allowed us to gain separation."

Senior Spencer Littleson paced the Rocket attack with 19 points thanks to a red-hot 5-of-8 showing behind the three-point line. Senior Marreon Jackson supported Littleson's perimeter prowess with a strong all-around performance featuring 15 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and seven assists.

Joining the Rockets' backcourt duo in double digits were junior Setric Millner Jr. (11 pts.), freshman Ryan Rollins (11 pts.), redshirt freshman Mattia Acunzo (10 pts.) and sophomore Keshaun Saunders (10 pts.).

Toledo shot 50.8 percent from the field and limited the Falcons to a 35.9 shooting mark. The Rockets also held a 47-40 advantage on the boards and an 11-2 cushion in second-chance points.

Senior Trey Diggs led Bowling Green with 17 points.

The Rockets return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 2 with a home matchup against second-place Akron (10-3, 8-2 MAC). Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Savage Arena on ESPN+.
