TOLEDO, Ohio - Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk announced the signing of guard
Ra'Heim Moss (Springfield, Ohio) to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Toledo. Moss will join the Rocket men's basketball program prior to the start of the 2020-21 academic year.
"I'm really excited to add Ra'Heim to what we already thought was a really good recruiting class," Kowalczyk said. "Ra'Heim is a very athletic guard who plays multiple positions. He also was a high-level football recruit and reminds me of a cross between (former Rockets) Rian Pearson and Justin Drummond. He's a tough-minded, physical guard who can play both ends and do it all."
Â
A 6-foot-4, 205-pound guard, Moss averaged 18.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.0 apg and 2.0 apg this past season at the Spire Academy, a prep school located in Geneva, Ohio. He was a second-team All-Ohio selection as a junior and senior at Springfield High School. Moss led the Wildcats to a district title by averaging 17.9 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.9 spg and 2.7 apg to go along with a 59.2 field-goal percentage. As a junior, he averaged 14.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.7 apg.
Â
Moss is the seventh member of Toledo's 2020-21 recruiting class and joins
Jamere Hill (Joliet, Ill.),
Charles Jones (Detroit, Mich.),
Jonathan Komagum (London, England),
Seth Millner (Little Rock, Ark.),
Ryan Rollins (Macomb, Mich.) and
JT Shumate (Newark, Ohio).
