TOLEDO, Ohio - The Rockets travel to Buffalo, N.Y. for the 2020 Mid-American Conference Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 26-29. A day after the conclusion of the championships, the Rockets will attend the Last Chance Invite in Cleveland on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rockets defeated Bowling Green, 199-154, in a two-day dual meet on Feb 7-8. Freshman
Lauren Kilgore led the way with three individual wins, while sophomore
Joelle Gallais scored an NCAA Zone Standard on the one-meter board. Kilgore took home wins in the 400 IM, 200 breaststroke, and 200 IM. Her time of 4:25.16 in the 400 IM was the eighth-fastest time in program history. Junior
Izzy Jones and senior
Duda Sales each added in two individual wins for the Rockets. Jones brought home wins in the 200 and 1000 freestyles, while Sales won the 100 and 200 butterflies. Jones' 9:58.43 in the 1000 freestyle was the fourth-fastest time in program history. Redshirt-freshman
Kennedy Lovell won the 50 freestyle.
IZZY JONES NAMED MAC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Junior
Izzy Jones was named MAC Swimmer of the Week (Feb. 12) for her outstanding performance against Bowling Green in the final dual match of the season. Jones clocked the fourth-fastest time in program history in the 1000 freestyle, touching the wall in 9:58.43. Her time is also the fastest time in the conference this season. Jones also took home a first-place finish int he 200 freestyle, finishing at 1:48.88. Her time is the third-fastest in the MAC this season.
DUDA SALES NAMED MAC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Senior
Duda Sales was named MAC Swimmer of the Week (Jan. 29) for her performance against Buffalo. Sales won the 200 butterfly with the seventh-fastest time in program history at 2:02.90. The Brazil native also set a pool record in the 100 butterfly, touching the wall in 54.33.

ON THE BLOCKS
If the Rockets post any NCAA "A" or "B" Standard times, they could see post-season swims. There are two post-season Championship meets that the Rockets have a chance at. The CSCAA National Invitational Championships, hosted by Cleveland State, are held Mar. 12-14, while the NCAA Championships are held Mar. 18-21 in Athens, Ga.
Joelle Gallais' NCAA Zone Standard dives have qualified her for NCAA Zones on Mar. 12-14 in Lexington, Ky.
