Rockets Travel to Indiana for Two Weekend Meets

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Rockets travel to Indiana for two meets this weekend. Toledo will compete against Mid-American Conference member Ball State on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. The Rockets will then head to Indiana State for a 2:00 p.m. meet on Friday, Jan. 17.

"We are excited to be back in action this weekend for two very competitive meets. We have been working hard all break to prepare for the last part of our season, and we are ready to see what we can accomplish."
LAST TIME OUT
The Rockets defeated Indianapolis and Findlay in a tri-meet hosted by Indianapolis in mid-December. Sophomore Joelle Gallais took first on both diving boards, while freshman Lina Alli took fourth on both boards. Junior Izzy Jones, freshman Lauren Kilgore and junior Lisa Eriksson took first in their respective swimming events. Also competing well for the Rockets was sophomore Samantha Ekleberry, who took second in both the 500 and 1000 freestyles. Senior Duda Sales placed second in the 100 butterfly. The Rockets finished second in the 200 freestyle relay with the team of Eriksson, Sales, Jones and Kennedy Lovell swimming a 1:37.71 in the event to finishjust ahead of teammates Alida Ramden, Flory Kock, Ashley Jeffreys, and Kendra Polewski. Toledo also took third in the 200 medley relay. Jeffreys, Bec Welke, Sales, and Lovell touched the wall in 1:46.77.
COMING UP
The Rockets host their final home meet of the season on Jan. 25 as they welcome MAC opponent Buffalo to the UToledo Student Recreation Center. The meet is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
