TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's and women's cross country team will travel down the road to Columbus, Ohio for the Buckeye Preview on Saturday, Sept. 28. The men's 8K will start at 9:00 a.m. with the women's 6K to follow at 9:45 a.m. The meet will be held at The Ohio State University Golf Club on Tremont Road.
Both squads last competed at the NIU Huskie Challenge earlier this month, where the women's team placed second with 56 points and the men's team took fourth with 79 points.
Sophomore
Claire Steigerwald set the pace for the Rockets on the women's side, crossing the finish line with a time of 22:38.1 to take seventh. Junior
Michelle Hostettler stopped the clock at 22:53.1 to land ninth and freshman
Emily Vining posted a time of 22:55.1 to finish 11th.
For the men, freshman
Jacob Harris had an impressive debut race for the Rockets, landing first in his first collegiate 8K with a time of 25:52.1. Joining Harris in the top five was sophomore
Raymond Korir, who placed fourth with a time of 26:19.1.
