The Toledo volleyball team officially kicked off the 2019 season with a pair of practices on Saturday.
Rockets Hold First Practices of 2019 Season

Toledo, Ohio— The University of Toledo volleyball team officially opened its season on Saturday, holding two practices to begin the 2019 campaign.
"We had a good first day of practice, it was great to be back out on the court," head coach Jason Oliver said. "We obviously still have a long way to go, but today was a good start to what we're all hoping is a successful season."
The Rockets will host Indianapolis on Saturday, Aug. 24 in an exhibition match at 3:00 p.m., with the regular season beginning the following weekend. Toledo hosts the Blue and Gold Tournament on Aug. 30-31, welcoming North Dakota State, Western Kentucky, and Loyola-Chicago to Savage Arena for a weekend of volleyball.
Toledo returns seven letterwinners from 2018, including second-team All-MAC honoree Zoe Birnbrich.
