Rockets Set to Host Third Annual Dream Academy

Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's and women's tennis programs will be hosting the 2019 Dream Academy for boys and girls entering seventh or eighth grade on Friday mornings from June 21 through July 26 from 9:00 a.m. to noon (there is no session on July 12). This year's Dream Academy is sponsored by Mark Feldstein & Associates, Inc.
"This program is in its third year and we hope it has a meaningful impact on these campers," said head men's tennis coach Al Wermer. "They get a lot of exposure to campus leaders, teachers, facilities, activities, and academics. We really want to plant the seed for college. We want them to get excited about the endless opportunities on a college campus. Meanwhile, we'll mix in some tennis and some fun."
The Dream Academy, run completely by volunteers, offers campers basic tennis skills, interactions with Toledo men's and women's tennis coaches and players, presentations with speakers on campus, and other activities. A tennis racket, healthy snacks, and t-shirt are provided to campers for a total cost of $12.
Spots are limited for Dream Academy and campers must complete a written statement about why they would like to participate, as well as commit to attend at least four of the five Dream Academy dates.
