West Lafayette, Ind. - Toledo freshman diver Joelle Gallais closed out the NCAA Zone C Diving Meet in West Lafayette, Ind. today with a 19th-place finish in the 10-meter platform event. Gallais scored 217.45 points and was one place from reaching the finals portion of the platform, trailing Notre Dame's Kelly Straub by only 1.1 points.

"Joelle missed her back 2.5 pike, but overall she dove well and I am really proud of her," diving coach Gabby Agostino said. "It was a tough competition and it can be pretty frustrating to miss finals by one point. She can take this meet as motivation to come back and do well next year."

The 2018-19 Toledo swimming and diving season officially comes to a close with the conclusion of the NCAA Diving Zones.
