KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Toledo saw its five-game winning streak end on Tuesday evening in a 72-57 setback at Kansas City. The Rockets (8-3) could never get untracked offensively against the Roos (6-7) and finished with a season low for both points and field-goal percentage (33.3).
Seniors Willie Jackson and Luke Knapke paced Toledo with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Jackson also grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds to register his seventh double-double of the season.
Junior Brandon McKissic led Kansas City offensively with 18 points and was one of four Roos to score in double digits. The Roos' 45.0 field-goal percentage was the highest by a Rocket opponent this season.
Rebounding totals were even in the contest at 39-39 thanks to Jackson's strong outing on the boards.Â
The Rockets return to action with their final non-conference home game on Saturday, Dec. 21 against Wright State (9-3). Tip-off time in Savage Arena is set for 2:00 p.m.
