Toledo, Ohio - Toledo freshmen divers Joelle Gallais and Sydney Jackson are set to compete in the University at Buffalo Diving Invitational  in Buffalo, N.Y. this weekend. The three-day meet runs Friday-Sunday, Jan. 11-13 at the Alumni Arena Natatorium on the campus of UB. Warmups each day will begin at 9 a.m., followed by prelims at 11 a.m. Finals will immediately follow prelims.

Gallais will dive in three events (1-meter, 3-meter-, platform), with Jackson competing in two (1-meter, 3-meter).
 
"I'm excited to see Sydney do some new dives that she's learned over the break, and this will be her first 3-meter meet so it will be good experience too," diving coach Gabby Agostino said. "For Joelle, I'm looking forward to seeing her compete platform again because this will be her second time doing it. I'm also excited to see her put everything together for 1- and 3-meter."
 
The Rockets will face fierce competition from Buffalo, Canisius, St. Bonaventure, Niagara, Ohio and Colgate.
