Â
Â
"I'm very excited to add Raynee to the staff," Nguyen said. "She has been with some successful Division I programs and was highly recommended. I've had the chance to see her work the last few years in the Mid-American Conference and I know she's a competitive person and a strong recruiter. Having familiarity with our program and the conference were also big pluses. I think she's going to help us continue to move aggressively toward our competitive goals and I'm looking forward to getting started with her."

She also assisted with the women's team in finishing in the top-25 that same year. Under DeGrio's guidance, the Syracuse distance runners earned seven All-America honors for the indoor and outdoor seasons.
DeGrio began her coaching career in 2011 as a volunteer coach for women's cross country and track at Baylor as she worked toward her masters degree. Â As a volunteer coach, DeGrio helped coach Baylor distance runners to six NCAA West Regional appearances. She also saw six runners earn All Big-12 honors in cross country and track & field.
