The University of Toledo and Fairway Independent Mortgage are donating tickets to the 180th Fighter Wing for the season opener football game against VMI.
Fairway Independent Mortgage to Honor 180th Fighter Wing

Toledo, Ohio - The University of Toledo and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation have partnered together to give members of the Ohio Air National Guard 180th Fighter Wing free tickets to Toledo football's season opener against VMI on Saturday, Sept. 1. The donation comes in honor of the Rockets' Military Appreciation Day celebration and is the first time the two organizations have worked together.
"Veterans, and especially the 180th, have always been important to me personally," Sylvania branch manager Marty Bihn said. "Both my father and brother-in-law served with the 180th. Helping those service members and their families successfully finance homes for the last 25 years is something I am very proud of.
"Having a firsthand understanding of not only the lending side, but the terminology, real-life reality, and the nuances of service members has allowed our staff to seamlessly assist VA families," Bihn added. "Today's game sponsorship and our partnering with University of Toledo Athletics, especially this opener against VMI, provided Fairway a wonderful opportunity to support and highlight two of our treasured local assets: the Rockets and local veterans. Fairway Toledo offers a special salute to the 180th Fighter Wing for the mission to protect us all, and thanks the more than 500 guardsman our loan officers have helped over the years."
