Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo will be part of the new ESPN+ (ESPN-Plus) app that will offer live events and other content not available on any other ESPN platform. Live streaming of UT home athletic events will be carried the new online platform, beginning with a baseball game vs. Eastern Michigan on April 20.
The ESPN+ app will cost subscribers $4.99 per month and can also be accessed from ESPN.com. Subscribers will receive thousands of additional live events, original shows and films, and an on-demand library which will not be available on ESPN's linear TV or digital networks. ESPN+ will not include access to stream ESPN's existing, linear networks, which will continue to be available via "TV Everywhere" authenticated streaming (ESPN3).
Some UT spring events that were originally scheduled to be streamed on ESPN3 have been moved to ESPN+. Seven UT Baseball games and three UT Softball games will now be carried on ESPN+ (full production schedule attached)
