MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Toledo extended its winning streak to three-consecutive games with a 58-48 victory at Memphis on Saturday in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. With the triumph, UT improves to 5-2 on the season.
Senior Mikaela Boyd paced the Rockets with a contest-tying best 15 points, to go along with two boards, four helpers and a season-high four thefts. Boyd was clutch in the fourth period, tallying seven points to help the Midnight Blue & Gold post its third-straight road win.
Joining Boyd in double figures were senior Kaayla McIntyre and junior Sara Rokkanen with 12 points each.
As a team, the Rockets shot 38.8 percent (19-of-49) from the floor, including 33.3 percent (6-of-18) from three-point land, and 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the free throw line to improve to 2-2 against American Athletic Conference (AAC) schools under head head coach Tricia Cullop.
Jamirah Shutes led the Tigers (2-5) with a game-tying best 15 points, followed closely by Alana Davis with 12.

• The Rockets were also stout defensively in the first stanza, limiting the Tigers to 16.7 percent (3-of-18) from the floor. The visitors also forced five turnovers and scored eight points off those miscues.
SECOND QUARTER
• UT remained sound defensively in the second period, holding UM to only five points to secure a 21-12 lead at the intermission. They caused the Tigers to miss 15 of their 17 field-goal attempts (11.8 percent) in the quarter to build a nine-point advantage.
