PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Junior Rasmus Broholt Lind fired an even-par 71 on Monday and sits in a 13^th-place tie following the opening round of the Saint Mary's Invitational. The tournament is being played at the par-71, 6,945-yard Poppy Hills Golf Club and includes five teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 50 computer rankings.
 
Toledo is tied for 15^th place in the team standings at 15-over par 299 and is just nine strokes out of the eighth-place position held by No. 5 USC. BYU's Peter Kuest possesses a seven-stroke cushion on the individual leaderboard after carding a tournament-record 10-under par 61.
 
Lind registered three bogeys in his first seven holes before settling down. After notching a birdie on his eighth hole to get back to two-over, he closed out his round with birdies on his 15^th and 18^th hole.

Sophomore Grant Godfrey and senior Duncan McNeill also produced solid showings for the Rockets with rounds of three-over par 74 and four-over par 75 and are tied for 46^th and 57^th place, respectively.
 
Rounding out the Rocket lineup are senior Spencer Shoemaker tied for 97^th place at eight-over 79 and sophomore Jack Boczar tied for 103^rd place at 14-over par 85.

Sophomore Dylan Van Fossen is competing as an individual and tied for 69^th place at five-over par 76.

The tournament's second round will be held on Tuesday with the final round set for Wednesday.
