Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's swimming and diving team is set for a home-and-away weekend of action. UT welcomes Eastern Michigan on Friday for the Rockets' first Mid-American Conference dual-meet of the season before traveling to Rochester, Mich. to compete against Oakland and Rutgers. UT and EMU push off at 4:00 p.m. at the UT Student Rec Center. Saturday's competition begins at 11:30 a.m. inside the Oakland Aquatic Center.

"I'm excited about the first MAC dual meet of the year," head coach Jonas Persson said. "I will mostly be looking at how our swimmers and divers react competing against a very strong EMU team. It will show true character going up against one of the best teams in our conference."

The Rockets are coming off the season-opening tri-meet against Findlay and Indianapolis. UT swept the weekend, beating Findlay 159-72 and taking down Indianapolis 152-85. The day was highlighted by sophomore sprinter Lisa Eriksson earning two individual victories while also assisting in the 200-yard free relay.

Eriksson took home individual victories in the 50-yard free (24.20) and 100-yard free (52.91) events. In the 200 free relay, the team of freshman Ashley Jeffreys, Eriksson, freshman Sophie Taylor and sophomore Alida Ramden finished in 1:37.83, taking first place. Eriksson specifically had a 23.71 split for the race. In total, all of Eriksson's times were within a second of becoming personal records.

Freshman diver Joelle Gallais was also a standout for UT last week. Gallais placed second in the 1-meter dive with a score of 264.10, 10 points behind the event winner. Gallais followed up with an event victory in the 3-meter dive, earning a score of 272.75. Gallais' 1- and 3-meter scores respectively rank seventh and sixth all-time at UT.

"I'd like to keep building on the momentum from last Friday," Persson said. "It was a great first meet."
