TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will host East Division foe Miami in its final home meet this Sunday, Jan. 22. The Rockets will welcome the RedHawks to the UT Student Rec Center for a 1:00 p.m. meet. This contest will be broadcast on BCSN.
Â
This meet will also serve as the Rockets' Senior Meet where senior Rachael Hester will be recognized prior to the start of the contest. The UT Pep Band will be in attendance as well as Rocky and Rocksy.
Â
"Our meet this weekend will be a great way to honor Rachael," said head coach Jonas Persson. "She's one of our captains this year and has contributed tremendously to the team over her four years at Toledo.
Â
"The competition against Miami will be very good and our goal is to step up and take what we learned our meet last weekend, against Akron, and apply it at this meet. The meet will take place almost exactly one month out of the Mid-American Conference championships, so we are gearing up for some fast swims. We need to keep a focus on applying technical and strategical changes."
