TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will host three-time reigning Mid-American Conference Champion Akron in its home opener this Saturday, Jan. 14. The Rockets will welcome the Zips to the UT Student Rec Center for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
Â
This contest will mark the first time a Toledo home swim meet will be televised. The meet will be produced by BCSN and can be streamed live on ESPN3.
Â
"We're very excited to step and race the defending MAC champions this weekend, and I think there will be some really nice match-ups," said head coach Jonas Persson. "This will be the first of three-straight dual meets for us. We then have three weeks to prepare for the MAC Championships. We're excited for these next few meets and really have to focus on fine tuning our races. Also, to have the meet televised on BCSN and ESNP3 is great for our school, conference, and swimming in general!"
