Toledo Places 10 Runners Inside Top 15 at the Mel Brodt Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, OH - Toledo ran strategically as a group and placed 10 runners inside the Top 15 in the 5K Mel Brodt Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Joan Jepkirui finished in fourth place as the first Rocket across the line in 18:05.6. Caroline Lambert was just behind, clocking a 18:07.0, for sixth place.Â
The Rockets swept places 8-15 and finished within seconds of each other. Jennifer Lichter, Athena Welsh and Maja Pacaric finished in eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively, to round out the Rockets Top 5.
Toledo travels south for its next meet, the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Louisville, KY.
