Toledo Runs to 11th-Place Finish in Great Lakes Regionals

MADISON, Wis. - The Toledo women's cross country team had all five runners finish under the 22-minute mark on its way to an 11th-place finish in the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals on the Thomas Zimmer Championship course Friday afternoon.
The Rockets bettered their results from an 18th-place finish in last year's regional competition and cut 128 points off of the team total.
Maja Pacaric led the way for the Rockets as the senior crossed the line in 55th-place, 21:23.3. Sophomore Jennifer Lichter finished three spots behind with a time of 21:27.5.
Caroline Lambert stopped the clock at 21:41.5 which was good for 74th-place.
Junior Stephanie Barlow and freshman Athena Welsh rounded out the scoring for UT with 81st and 88th-place finishes, respectively. Barlow ran a time of 21:52.0 while Welsh crossed in 21:58.1.
Theresa Warsecke (110th) and Petronela Simiuc (119th) also competed for the Rockets.
Michigan claimed the title as the Wolverines placed three runners in the Top 10 including individual champion Erin Finn (19:27.8).
