Pittsburgh, PA – Toledo fell to Duquesne, 159-100, on Friday evening in Pittsburgh, PA but the Rockets managed to notch six victories on the night.

"We had some really nice swims today," said head coach Jonas Persson. "Our freshman class did a really nice job. We started off a little slow but kept on fighting hard and got better throughout the meet. We are suffering from a few injuries that took a toll at our depth in each event, which unfortunately set us back this meet.

Freshman Izzy Jones took home the gold in the 200 free for the second-consecutive meet with a time of 1:54.77. Jones also placed first in the 200 back (2:04.21), with freshman Maureen O'Sullivan following in second (2:06.38).

O'Sullivan then went on to record her own victory in the 100 back with a time of 58.29.

Sophomore Bailey Cahill placed first in the 100 fly, stopping the clock at 58.79, and also recorded second place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:10.45.

Junior Maggie Hack tallied nine points for the Rockets in the 100 free, touching the wall at 53.70.

Jones returned to the pool to capture her third first-place finish of the night in the 500 free (5:06.88). Freshman Anna Dunphy trailed in second with a time of 5:20.76.

Toledo will next travel to Akron for the Zippy Invitational on Friday-Sunday, Dec. 2-4.
