Arizona at Toledo

- With tonight's setback, Toledo dropped its fifth-straight season-opening contest. The Rockets' last season-opening victory occurred against Western Illinois, 62-14, on Sept. 1, 2005.
- Tonight's loss drops UT to 0-5 all-time against Pac-10 schools, with single losses to Arizona State and Washington, as well as three setbacks to the Wildcats.
- The official attendance was 25,907, the Rockets' largest home crowd since 26,100 fans witnessed the game vs. Purdue on Sept. 1, 2007.
- Senior C Kevin Kowalski, senior LB Archie Donald, junior TE Danny Noble and junior RB Johnnie Bush served as the game's captains. UT names its captains on a game-by-game basis, rewarding players for their effort and dedication.
- A total of 10 players (Jayrone Elliott, David Fluellen, James Green, Zac Kerin, Ross Madison, John Penza, Charles Rancifer, Bernard Reedy, Johnie Roberts, Christian Smith) saw their first collegiate action as a Rocket in tonight's season opener.
- Sophomore QB Austin Dantin went the distance under center and completed 14-of-23 passes for 103 yards, including a game-high 24 yard completion to classmate Eric Page.
- Junior RB Adonis Thomas carried the ball a team-high 10 times and finished with 52 yards.
- Sophomore WR Eric Page caught a team-best four passes for 43 yards.
- Senior CB Desmond Marrow paced the Rockets' defense with nine stops, including one tackle for loss.
- Junior SS Diauntae Morrow was credited with his first career interception in the third quarter. Morrow played two years at Iowa (2007-08) and sat out last season at UT as a redshirt. He finished with eight tackles.
- Redshirt freshman P John Penza punted five times, averaging 48.4 yards per boot, including a 58-yarder in the second quarter.
- Arizona QB Nick Foles finished 32-of-37 passing for an 86.5 completion percentage, the highest ever by a Rocket opponent. The previous best effort was 83.3 percent by WMU's Jay McDonagh on Sept. 14, 1995.
