- Sophomore forward Justin Anyijong had a career night in points (16), rebounds, three-point attempts (6), field goals made (6), three pointers made (4) and minutes (36). Anyijong's 12 rebounds is a season-high for the Rockets while Friday night's game was the first time in his UT career he made more than one three pointer.
- Senior guard Jonathan Amos moved into third place in career steals in the Rocket record book with three on Friday night. Amos' current career total of 208 surpassed Craig Thames' previous third-place tally of 207 set from 1992-96. Amos needs nine more steals to catch Justin Ingram for second place. Keith Triplett is the all-time leader with 278 steals from 2001-05.
- Amos and Tyrone Kent each posted their 10th games this season in double figures on Friday night with Amos totaling 23 and Kent with 12. Amos has 47 points over his last two games.
- The Rockets had their third-highest shooting percentages this season in both field goal percentage (46.4) and three-point percentage (37.5).
