• Toledo now leads its all-time series with Ball State by a 37-33 mark and the Rockets' win in Muncie was just their second in 14 years and first since the 2000-01 season.

• Head Coach Stan Joplin moved into a tie with former Bowling Green Coach Jim Larranagga for sixth place in conference wins only with 102 MAC victories.

• Toledo is now 7-4 under Joplin in MAC openers.

• The Rockets are 2-2 when opening MAC play on the road under Joplin.

• UT had dropped its MAC opener in each of the last two years -- 75-70 at EMU in 2004-05 and 73-69 to NIU last year.

• The Rockets are now 3-0 this season in games decided by three points or less.

• Ball State's 36.8 field-goal percentage was the first time this season UT held an opponent under 40 percent shooting from the field.

• Toledo grabbed a season-high 43 rebounds and is now 3-3 when outrebounding its opponents.

• Senior guard Justin Ingram grabbed a career-best 13 rebounds and sophomore guard Jonathan Amos hauled down a career-high nine rebounds.

• Ingram and senior forward Florentino Valencia were held out of double figures for just the second time this season.

• Senior guard Keonta Howell led the Rockets in scoring with 16 points for a team-high sixth time this season. Howell has scored in double figures in 11 of 13 games.

• Junior guard Kashif Payne scored a season-high 10 points while dishing out five assists.

• Junior forward Jerrah Young registered season highs for points (7), blocks (2) and minutes (14) and tied his season high for rebounds (6).
