Toledo Head Coach Stan Joplin
"We wanted to protect our homecourt, and we wanted to remain unbeaten in our division. We wanted to make sure that in the memory of Haris that we did things the right way, and I think we accomplished that. When we got our lead in the first half I thought our defense was pretty good. Then we relaxed a little in the second half."
"We have to have a killer instinct to put a team away. We stopped moving our feet and gave up too many open jump shots and they crashed the boards. When we play fast and quick and hard and smart we're pretty good. I think our defensive pressure can cause a lot of problems and we started to feed off our defense."
Toledo Senior guard Justin Ingram
"We just wanted to come out and protect home court. I started to feel it a little early and my teammates found me and I got a couple of jump shots to fall. Once I started going the rest of the team started to follow and build the lead up in the first half."

"It affected us a lot. We knew there was going to be a memorial but we didn't know about the banner coming down. That was the first time we had seen it just like everyone else. Once we saw that we just wanted to come out and play the best that we could for Haris. We have been trying to do that the whole season, and we are going to continue to play as well as we can for him."

"Western was making a run then we got two key turnovers and turned them into baskets. Tyrone is a really great athlete. His dunk was spectacular. That got the crowd into it and when you are at home and your crowd gets into the game that gives us an advantage."
(on the EMU game on Tuesday)
"Eastern Michigan is good. They are 2-1 in the conference and it's hard to play on the road in the MAC. So we are going to go in and play the best that we possibly can and hope that we can come home with a victory. They have a great core coming back."
