Coach Tom Amstutz
"We had lots of mistakes. The smallest things can make a difference. We can't fumble the ball twice, we can't have a bad snap on a play where we are looking to change momentun. We gave effort but we had some breakdowns that are correctable."
"I give Pittsburgh credit. They played well. We didn't give our best effort. We have to get back to work. We have to refocus quickly and get ready for league play."
"We've been behind before in games and come back. It's just a matter of how you're going to play. You have to keep your focus and regroup yourself and run plays and exicute your assignments. Football is simple. We can still come back in a game like that but we just didn't exicute."
"I was encouraged by some plays. I thought Aaron Opelt played well. But you can't fumble the ball and drop touchdown passes and expect to win. I was very engouraged by Aaron. I think he is going to be a great quarterback. We just needed guys around him to make more plays."
Jr. FS Tyrrell Herbert
"It's our job as the defense to hold them. We just didn't get the job done. We have to do a better job of holding them when they do get good field position and keeping them out of the endzone. "
Fr. QB Aaron Opelt
"We all made some mistakes out there, critical mistakes. We have to work on that and correct those and we will be alright."
